Job Details:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This permanent position is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a robust understanding of raw materials, finished standards, compliance, and guidelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of process control, efficiency, and quality throughout our manufacturing processes. The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in identifying defects, implementing CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), managing scrap, performing inspections, and ensuring all operations adhere to checklists and standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in each business's manufacturing process.
2. Perform routine inspection and quality tests and analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
3. Determine and enforce - through functional groups - quality and safety requirements in accordance with the company's needs, based on current regulations and state-of-the art product development
4. Establish and maintain tracking systems for quality measurements.
5. Identify and implement effective process control systems to support the development, validation, and ongoing manufacturing of products.
6. Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process-related concerns.
7. Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
8. Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen lean methods, etc.
9. Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of metrics and best practices.
10. Develop training to build quality awareness.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with raw materials, finished standards, compliance, guidelines, process control, SPC, defects, efficiency, CAPA, scrap, inspection, and checklists.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find root causes of issues and manage them to completion.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Proficient in data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
8. In-depth understanding of Quality Control procedures and relevant legal standards.
9. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) will be considered an asset.
10. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with other quality software.
