Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Control:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for manufacturing operations.
Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet established specifications and quality standards.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality guidelines and standards.
Utilize statistical process control (SPC) methods to support process improvement initiatives.
Testing and Evaluation:
Perform physical and mechanical testing on products, including strength, color consistency, and surface finish evaluations.
Analyze test results and recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances or defects.
Conduct failure analyses and collaborate with design and production teams to identify root causes of quality issues.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to enhance production efficiency, reduce defects, and improve overall product quality.
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address recurring quality issues.
Work with production teams to optimize processes for consistency and efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain and update quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, checklists, and corrective action plans.
Prepare detailed quality reports for management, outlining performance metrics, trends, and improvement recommendations.
Maintain records of non-conformances and corrective actions for audit purposes.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with production, design, and procurement teams to ensure quality standards are upheld across the supply chain.
Provide training and guidance to staff on quality procedures, standards, and best practices.
Communicate with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues effectively.
Regulatory and Standards Compliance:
Ensure products comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and customer specifications.
Stay up-to-date with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM) and implement best practices accordingly.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality control in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), statistical analysis, and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
Proficiency in quality control tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) and data analysis software (e.g., MS Excel, Minitab).
Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients.
