Scope:Quality Engineering Technician manages the operation of the document control center to ensure adherence to AS9100, UL and other industry and regulatory standards.
Essential Job Function:- Issue/verify effectiveness of Corrective/Preventive Action
- Maintain Commercial, AS9100, UL, Aero Space and Military Qualifications
- Maintain training system-database, issue training records and update database when complete
- Quality functions such as writing corrective actions, performing internal audits, and writing procedures
- Send/track/log all Military (monthly) and Commercial (as required) test coupons and mounts to outside services
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all controlled documents and records
- Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents via company intranet website
- Document Control activities including training of associates to read, review and approve documents; and maintaining a fully compliant system
- Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to all appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution
- Generate or review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and manage the product change process from review through approval
- Conduct research, implementation, training, and auditing to maintain QMS standards, AS9100 certification, and compliance to customer and regulatory standards
- Manage documents to properly archive outdated or unnecessary documents in accordance with record retention schedules/standards.
- Maintain Commercial, AS9100, UL, Aero Space and Military Qualifications
- Schedule, interact and partake as the Front-Line APCT representative for all Audits
- Follow-up to completion with all CARs (Corrective Action Requests), NC (Nonconformances), SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Request)
- Advanced presentation skills to Internal Management and Outside Resources
- Additional Responsibilities vary based on Management direction
Requirements
Essential Qualifications, Education, and Experience:- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Excellent Multitasking, Prioritization and Organizational skills
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and International Standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, Mil-Spec 31032
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player
- Ability to create, review, and revise operating procedures, work instructions in English
- Ability to interact professionally with the Auditing Entities and Customers
- Minimum of 2-5 years' experience with AS9100, ISO 9001:2015, Mil-Spec 31.32 at PCB Manufacturing
- Sitting at a desk working on a computer for extended periods of time
- Walking on uneven surfaces
- Bending at the head and neck
- Bending at the waist
