Job Details
- Lead the Quality Assurance Department, ensuring compliance with 14 CFR Part 145 and all Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Oversee the FAA Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and internal quality systems.
- Promote safety and maintain airworthiness by directing quality assurance efforts for aircraft maintenance.
- Administer FAA Parts Manufacturing Approvals (as applicable) and oversee audits, training programs, and equipment calibration.
- Develop strategic plans to improve quality, manage budgets, and stay ahead of industry trends and innovations.
- Maintain accurate technical data, manage inspector certifications, and foster strong communication within the team and with customers.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in a Quality leadership role within an MRO/FAA Repair Station environment with 10+ employees.
- Certifications: FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate (Inspection Authorization preferred).
- Education: Coursework in Business, Aviation, Engineering, or a related field.
- Skills: Expertise in Federal Aviation Regulations, ISO standards, Six Sigma/process improvement, and financial/budget management.
