Quality Engineer - Latitude Inc

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of requirements for new products to ensure proper production of the material to comply with the customer requirements. Interfaces with suppliers/ vendors as required.
• Assist in evaluating new measuring techniques, developing economic and technical justification for their use, and in developing standards and visual inspection techniques for use in a production environment.
• Evaluate metrology through use of appropriate statistical studies, recommend and coordinate improvement activities based on the results of metrology analysis.
• Coordinate on-line implementation of quality improvement and quality training programs.
• Coordinates and participates in investigations on customer complaints and improvement plans.
• Coordinates and participates in investigations on internal issues.
• Make statistical analysis and develop statistical process controls (SPC) for analyzing data.
• Performs ISO 9001/AS9100 Internal Audits on regular basis.
• Participates in the Internal Auditing Team and the Change Control Activities of the assigned area.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience as a quality engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Document control systems, auditing, and ISO9001/AS9100 experience desired.
• 10-15 years of relevant experience.
