Our client, a long standing and well-established precast concrete manufacturer is looking for a Precast Quality Control Technician to join their growing team. They are looking for people to be part of a team where they can grow and succeed.
The Quality Control Technician will gather samples and perform various laboratory testing. Successful applicants will be energetic, dedicated and dependable team players that enjoy problem solving.
RESPONSIBILITIES of the Precast Quality Control Technician:
- Collect, measure and weigh samples of concrete, aggregate, and raw materials
- Assist in maintaining and reporting of information and test results to interested parties.
- Assists in reviewing the production process for conformance to quality standards.
- Assist in reporting/tracking any significant deviations from quality standards and recommends corrective action as necessary to management.
- Encourages each employee to perform quality control as part of their operation.
- Participates in new product development to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans can be implemented prior to beginning manufacturing.
- At times, expected to perform duties and tasks outside of job description to meet business needs.
REQUIREMENTS of the Precast Quality Control Technician:
- Embrace strong work ethics personally and throughout company.
- Deal effectively with frequent delays, unexpected events and changes in/or approaches/methods to best fit the situation.
- Uses time efficiently
- Looks for ways to improve and promote safety and quality.
- Minimum 2 years of work-related experience and/or training in concrete.
- ACI Level 1 Certification preferred
- Familiarity using tools and equipment associated with precast concrete production.
