Position Overview
The QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that products meet established quality standards before reaching our customers. This role involves inspecting products at various stages of production, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with company specifications and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
- Use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and specifications
- Conduct visual inspections to identify defects such as cracks, deformations, or surface imperfections
- Document and report inspection results, including any non-conformities, in accordance with company procedures
- Work closely with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare quality reports
- Ensure compliance with ISO or other quality standards applicable to the industry
- Support internal and external audits as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training or certification in quality control/inspection is a plus
- 3-5 years of experience in quality control or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
Skills
- Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and quality management software
