Seeking a talented and experienced Quality Control Manager to join one of the nation’s leading general contractors.
Position Overview:
The Quality Control Manager will oversee and manage the quality assurance processes to ensure that products and services comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications. This role involves developing and implementing quality control systems, managing inspection processes, and leading a team of quality control specialists. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining high-quality standards.
Travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
- Oversee the inspection and testing of materials, products, and processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with production teams, engineers, and other departments to identify and resolve quality-related issues.
- Lead, train, and manage the quality control team to ensure proper execution of quality control procedures.
- Analyze data from inspections and tests to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, etc.).
- Develop and deliver reports on quality metrics, non-conformances, and corrective actions to senior management.
- Work with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met for incoming materials and components.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify potential areas of risk and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or related field preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction
- Federal project experience highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and methodologies
- Experience with quality control tools and software for tracking and analyzing data.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, OSHA, etc.).
