Quality Control Manager - Engineering Resource Group

Description

• Permanent position for a Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality control inspection departments for manufacturing operations.
• Supervision of QC Personnel.
• Prioritize incoming work in order to maintain production delivery schedule.
• Identify training requirements for QC Personnel.
• Ensure Gage Calibration System is implemented and effective.
• Prepare annual department budget and equipment review.
• Maintain effective implementation of quality management system (QMS) procedures and work instructions.
• Member of the Internal Auditing Team.
• Drive internal corrective/preventive action system relating to product and process non-conformances.
• Work together with engineering, production, and quality management to ensure product meets customer and company quality expectations.
• Follow up internally on customer complaints, product returns, and corrective action requirements.
• Interact with Purchasing Manager in the assessment and approval of vendors.
• Keep accurate time and process records via ERP system.
• Ensure compliance to workplace policies according to safety objectives and procedures.

Requirements

• BS Engineering or Management
• Minimum 4 years experience in managing an ISO certified quality control department.
• Solid knowledge, interpretation and experience with GD&T requirements.
• Competency in the use of various M&TE (Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, Comparators, CMM).
• Working knowledge of ISO9000 and/or AS9100 quality standards and implementation is a plus.
• Working Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5-2009 standard and implementation is a plus.
• Knowledge of CMM Programming and ability to interpret inputs and outputs is a plus.
• Internal Auditing experience is a plus.
