About the Job
Perform specific duties to ensure that a manufacturing product or performed services adheres to the defined set of quality criteria and meets customer requirements.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include:
- Inspect all incoming parts, work-in-process and finished goods against company quality standards (drawings, job travelers, specifications, etc.)
- Inspect all outgoing parts including packing/skidding/crating and verify accuracy of all shipments
- Maintain all quality-related documentation, including quality manual, work instructions and customer quality surveys
- Maintain company instruments and calibration
- Serve on quality committee and conduct monthly quality meeting
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent), associate degree preferred
- Background in reading blueprints and use of measurement/analytical tools
- General knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- 2-5 years of relevant industrial/manufacturing experience
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Excel, Word or equivalent
- Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Epicor
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and all levels of the organization
- Conflict management/resolution
- Ability to work autonomously and self-starter
- Possess good organizational skills
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Office setting with daily exposure to production area
- Use of personal protective equipment
- Lifting requirements are situation dependent, typically <50 pounds on a daily basis
- Work conducted indoors and outdoors
- Walking, Climbing, crawling in industrial plants with various noise, chemical and physical hazards may be required

- Laptop or desktop computer, printer, copier, calculator, telephone, email
- Microsoft Office suite
- Epicor ERP system
- Analytical instruments, e.g., micrometer, tape measure, calipers
Travel Requirement:
- Less than 10%
