We are seeking a dedicated full-time Quality Control Manager to join our team at the Alcon campus.
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes to ensure janitorial services consistently meet or exceed client expectations at Alcon Laboratories. This critical role focuses on maintaining exceptional service standards, ensuring audit readiness, and driving continuous improvement across all operations. The ideal candidate will proactively identify and resolve issues, manage equipment maintenance programs, and leverage quality control tools to enhance service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Control
- Ensure janitorial services meet or exceed Alcon’s expectations through exceptional attention to detail and personalized service.
- Differentiate Pritchard Janitorial by delivering a distinct competitive advantage through high-quality standards.
- Proactive Issue Identification
- Conduct regular inspections across the Alcon campus, using data and metrics to identify and address potential concerns proactively.
- Utilize quality management software such as CleanTelligent and Trax to document inspection results, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform daily campus walkthroughs to identify and resolve operational challenges.
- Support manufacturing building shutdowns by attending pre- and post-shutdown meetings and ensuring checklists and schedules are completed.
- Audit Readiness & Compliance
- Maintain facilities in an audit-ready state at all times, streamlining audit processes and mitigating compliance risks.
- Communicate with Pritchard management to prepare for upcoming audits and Alcon special requests.
- Assist with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) closeouts when necessary, driving continuous improvement in quality processes.
- Equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) Oversight
- Oversee preventive maintenance scheduling for campus equipment, including ride-on scrubbers and other tools.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
- Manage vendor visits to the campus, ensuring system access and required contractor training are completed in collaboration with the Training Coordinator.
- Reports & Metrics
- Provide regular reports detailing inspection results, service improvements, and performance metrics. Maintain documentation in Teams for streamlined access.
- Oversee inspections of restrooms, breakrooms, and janitorial closets, reporting findings to Client Services to schedule necessary repairs.
- Provide accurate daily updates on janitorial services upon request.
- Ensure reports (e.g., floor logs, work orders) are consistently up to date.
- Team Leadership & Training
- Re-train janitorial staff to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices and quality control adherence.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality control, preferably in a janitorial or facility management setting.
- Familiarity with CleanTelligent and Trax quality management software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use metrics and inspections to drive improvements.
- Effective leadership and communication skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other quality management tools.
