Currently need a Quality Control Inspector to confirm and verify parts, assemblies and components meet customer requirements.

Currently need a Quality Control Inspector to confirm and verify parts, assemblies and components meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Within assigned areas perform first piece or final inspection of a variety of component parts or complete units as related to cabinets, cubicles and welded structures.
- Interpret a variety of complicated government and customer specification and drawings.
- Utilize measuring instruments including: micrometer, Vernier, calipers, height gauges, gloss meters, scales, to ensure dimensional accuracy, structural soundness and acceptable finish, color and general appearance.
- Determine lot size for sampling and inspection and when necessary apply principles of quality control including the maintenance of records and forms.
- Discuss with supervisor methods, fixtures and set up for inspection of complicated welded assemblies, cabinets and cubicles.
- Be familiar with acceptable welding practices in both ferrous and nonferrous materials.
- Assist in determining corrective action where deviation from prints is encountered.
- As directed inspect subcontracted work at vendors’ plant.
- Be responsible for stopping production when necessary to prevent continuing production of defective parts.
- As directed guide the work of lower grade inspectors.
Required:
- HS diploma. Ideally trade school or technical school certificate.
- 3+ years of experience with quality control in manufacturing.
- Experience and or certification in weld inspection.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment: micrometer, Vernier, calipers, height gauges, gloss meters, etc.
- Must be able to read technical drawings or blue prints.
- Knowledge or certification in non-destructive testing.
- Work authorization: United States citizen.
