Work Environment:
Work environments vary by industry and establishment size; some inspectors examine similar products for an entire shift, while others examine a variety of items.
Must be able to stand, bend, and lift at least 30 lbs. for the entire duration of your shift.
LOCATION: Madison Heights, MI
SHIFTS & PAY RATE:
2nd shift: 3:30 pm -10:30 pm Monday-Friday with possible weekend work. Pay is $16.50
Paid weekly.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK FULL SHIFT!
Quality Control Inspectors typically do the following:
- Read blueprints and specifications
- Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process
- Inspect, test, or measure materials or products being produced
- Measure products with rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers
- Operate electronic inspection equipment and software
- Accept or reject finished items
- Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
- Report inspection and test data such as weights, temperatures, grades, moisture content, and quantities inspected
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Quality control analysis
- Active listening/ability to follow instructions
- Detail Oriented/Monitoring skills
- Problem-solving/Troubleshooting skills
- Judgment and decision-making
- Comfortable receiving ongoing performance feedback and coaching
- Comfortable with ongoing change and learning new technology/processes
- Has a dependable team-player attitude with an understanding that as the demand changes your work hours may vary
- Visually able to determine the color, shape, and size of a part
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours plus
- Have a positive attitude
- Be able to travel to different job sites within a 10-mile radius to help meet production deadlines at other facilities, if needed.
Education & Experience Required:
- High School Diploma
- Quality Control experience would be a plus preferred
- 1-year experience in the automotive industry
- 1-year experience with quality inspection experience preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing facilities
