Quality Control Coordinator
Gaspar, Inc. is an established manufacturer in Canton, OH with a successful track record of over 56 years in business as a global fabricator of processing equipment for semiconductor, chemical, plastics, steel mills, and polymer industries. We are looking for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our quality team.
- Job Responsibilities
- Work under Quality Control manager and help coordinate and execute requirements for existing and new projects.
- Review Mill Test Reports and material specifications to ASME code for materials received.
- Coordinate Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) from both internal and external resources.
- Review and approve billing from outside vendors for Quality Assurance needs (calibrations, NDE, etc.)
- Assemble and distribute final data packages for projects.
- Inspect paint application on projects and complete subsequent reports.
- Review drawings released from the Engineering department and create travelers, weld maps, and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
- Calibration and documentation of inspection equipment related to QC department.
- Evaluation of repair projects by performing thickness checks and visual inspections. Document recommended repair plan with input from production, estimating, and management.
- Communicate with customers as needed for documentation submittals.
- Review customer specifications as related to QC requirements.
- Perform final inspection reports to release projects for shipment.
- Review and help develop shop procedures.
- Work with Quality Control department to review and develop methods of continuous improvement.
- Comprehend and implement Gaspar Inc. Quality Control Manual.
- Assist Management with periodic audits required by ASME and the NBIC.
- Training will be available to qualified candidates for this position.
- Maintain good record keeping of the above responsibilities and other QC duties.
- Experience / Qualifications
- Experience with quality control or similar duties.
- Proficient documentation skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Should be computer literate, as much of this position is computer-based.
- Existing knowledge, or willingness to learn ASME code compliance.
