About the Job
The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for the assignments and tasks geared toward ISO 9001:2015 compliance and to facilitate continuous improvement initiatives. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: quality data analysis, trend charting, monitoring and measurement device calibrations, policy and procedure updates, internal auditing, corrective action implementation and follow up, and all related recordkeeping/documentation requirements. Continuous improvement includes identifying quality and cross departmental initiatives and managing through collaboration for desired outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the overall implementation of Quality Management System to maintain ISO certification.
- Solve day-to-day quality problems that encompasses products and processes, and involve the affected departments, coordinate and report solutions.
- Understanding of how customer jobs travel through the different work areas on the shop floor and be able to comprehend and speak to the processes.
- Responsible for corrective and preventive action processes, including customer interaction.
- Support manufacturing processes with adequate and effective problem solving.
- Maintain active role in internal Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Manage organization of internal ISO audits and external audits to monitor corrective and preventative measures.
- Manage ASME certification, procedures, and implementation.
- Assist with the design, development and implementation of quality control policies, including performing training as requested.
- Facilitate/implement non-conformance and corrective action activities/records and determine best practices and improvements.
- Maintain calibration activities and associated recordkeeping.
- Evaluate, define and prioritize improvement initiatives.
- Accurately analyze options for improvement to include impact and feasibility.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years experience managing a Quality Management System with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Prior experience in manufacturing with quality leadership responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships.
- Ability to communicate within all levels of the organization.
- Predisposition to coach and facilitate change.
