Position reports to the Supervisor and/or Director of Patient Access
Job Summary
Candidate will be responsible for reviewing the accuracy of all registrations as it pertains to Insurance, Coordination of Benefits, demographics, and financial clearance. I must be a subject-matter expert with all payers, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance, coverage as they pertains to registration and coordination of benefits. Candidates will also conduct daily audits of all registered accounts to ensure accuracy of registrations and provide feedback to management/registrars to help remediate registration issues. This position is expected to support the department’s revenue cycle performance redesign effort as it relates to process improvements.
Essential Functions
- Developing and implementing quality control systems and measures
- Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Reporting on quality metrics and performance to management
- Performs data analysis to identify opportunities to increase operational efficiency and/or effectiveness and establishes approaches for addressing errors within the registration department
- Responsible for maintaining and collecting statistical data for audit, reports, special projects, or assignments as requested
- Provide continual assessment and feedback to all team members regarding quality standards set for Patient Access
- Train, coach, and mentor Patient Access team
- Serve as a subject knowledge expert and an escalation point for staff questions and concerns.

Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of four (4) years previous admitting/registration experience required. One year experience in developing, coordinating, conducting, and evaluating training programs is preferred. High School Diploma required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Monday through Friday, Weekends/Nights as needed.
