Quality Assurance Specialist
Direct-Hire
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 (depending on experience)
First Shift: 8a-5p
Overview: Perform incoming inspections, handle returned products and paperwork, organize inventory, perform assembly inspections, perform outgoing product inspections.
Major Responsibilities
Quality Inspections and Testing:
- Perform incoming product inspections and put inventory in its proper place when completed.
- Perform assembly inspections to ensure product meets specifications.
- Perform outgoing inspections to ensure accuracy and quality of shipments.
- Process product returns and assist in customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance Procedures:
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to address non-conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of inspection results, test data, and quality control documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing quality performance, trends, and areas for improvement, presenting findings to management as needed.
- Assist in the development and review of quality documentation, including specifications, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Actively contribute to problem-solving efforts, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to drive continuous improvement in quality performance.
Environmental Responsibilities / Impact
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to manufacturing.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years plus of proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or related roles within industrial manufacturing settings.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards applicable to the manufacturing sector.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate quality-related issues and recommendations.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, precision, and thoroughness in conducting inspections and evaluations.
- Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Salary
