DESCRIPTION
This critical position has extensive experience with Quality Assurance (QA) best practices, theory, and development methodologies, including Agile/SCRUM. The Senior QA Analyst is capable of improving test quality and effectiveness by creating, reviewing, and constantly improving test plans, cases, and suites.
The Test Automation Specialist collaborates with technical and functional stakeholders to finalize the formal test plans, test cases and final UAT results while reporting and tracking all defects throughout System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role is in the IT department and as such, familiarity with formal testing requirements documenting methodologies and business process modeling is required.
Individual must be a dynamic, innovative, and disciplined QA Analyst with extensive experience in diverse System Development Methodologies utilizing integrated automated testing and defect management tools. The strong quality focused analyst will concentrate on QA process improvement and participate in all the functional and technical testing phases of the SDLC. The analyst proactively builds relationships with diverse business and technical Subject Matter Experts (SME) driving QA improvements while owning multiple test components within an application, or an entire integrated system. This entails both a leadership and hands-on QA where you will work with minimal supervision on cross-departmental project teams facilitated by a project manager.
The Test Automation Specialist must also have excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong initiative, and the ability to manage multiple and varied tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast paced team environment. Position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and development of test plans including creating and documenting test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts.
- Creation and documentation of automated test scripts
- Performance Testing using IBM Rational Performance Tester or similar tools
- Ability to work independently to deliver specified deliverables within a fast paced QA environment
- Experienced in N-Tier, Net-centric, and client-server applications
- Experience with state of the art QA techniques, standards and best practice
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with LINUX, UNIX and MS platform environments.
- RDMS knowledge with preferred Oracle, PL/SQL, MSSQL, background
- Proven interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Self-starter that is process centric, reusable component, standards and best practices driven.
- Bachelors in Information Systems, MBA or equivalent years of industry experience
- 5 7 years QA experience with extensive automated and manual testing responsibility within a matrix IT environment
- 4 6 years full regression and integrated systems QA experience.
