About the Job
Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead and oversee all quality department activities company-wide, ensuring compliance with quality systems and customer requirements. This role will manage the inspection and audit processes, develop and report quality metrics, and supervise a team of inspectors, quality technicians, and engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience in a senior engineering or management capacity within quality assurance, specifically in plastic injection molding or related industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all quality department activities across the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits to maintain compliance with established quality systems.
- Develop, implement, and report quality metrics to monitor performance throughout the various stages of manufacturing, from purchased materials to customer receipt.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering, to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvements.
- Train, mentor, and empower a team of inspectors, quality technicians, and quality engineers.
- Ensure compliance with PMM quality standards, including maintaining records and documentation for audits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in quality assurance, preferably in plastic injection molding or related industries.
- Knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management).
- Familiarity with quality management software and tools.
- ASQ Certification (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer).
- Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
