Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality management effort within the aerospace manufacturing components industry. The QA Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the company’s system of quality in accordance with governing quality standards and customer quality system requirement; and identifies short- and long-term departmental goals and strategies in support of the company’s objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, and implements internal quality assurance policies and procedures in accordance with AS9100/AS9102 and other requirements imposed by the customers and governmental agencies.
- Establishes the internal audits to assure adherence to the committed quality policies and procedures.
- Schedules and conducts required quality inspector meetings to review the quality system to determine adherence and adequacy.
- Establishes performance of inspection and testing of products to assure adherence to customer and industry standard specifications.
- Reviews and submits corrective and preventative action responses.
- Establishes in-house training of all activities related to quality for QA Inspectors.
- Maintains record keeping of quality inspection/test reports and manufacturing activities related to quality.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Competencies, Experience, and Education
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Quality Assurance Workflows, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
- Ability to apply metric and conversion mathematical concepts. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

- Bachelor’s degree (B. S.) from a four-year university and a minimum of 7-10 years of quality management in an aerospace environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
