We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team!
The Quality Manager is responsible for the continued development, maintenance, implementation, and improvement of the Milpower Source Quality Management System. Milpower’s Quality System aligns with AS9100 as well as specific military customer requirements. The Quality Manager will be responsible for integrating the QMS into all functions within Milpower Source and is the lead Management representative for the Quality System, administers all quality activities and ensures that Milpower maintains its QMS certification.
- Manages and owns the Quality process, coordinating with Engineering and Management for current and future programs and ensures that all customer requirements are met. This includes the identification of special characteristics during development and monitoring of the special characteristics throughout the manufacturing process.
- Responsible for overseeing gage qualification, calibration, and control.
- Oversees the management incoming inspections, first piece, in-process and final inspections.
- Create and maintain company quality documentation, including quality manuals, quality procedures
- Manage supplier quality standards and auditing program, including supplier assessments, quality issues, and follow up closure of corrective actions.
- Work with engineering to improve documents, drawings and procedures.
- Support the development of Control Plans for manufacturing.
- Lead problem solving activities.
- Manage root cause analysis and required follow up actions.
- Manage internal audit program including follow up corrective actions.
- Manage continuous improvement activities.
- Plan, promote, and organize training activities related to implementation of the Quality System.
- Maintain quality report and report results to the management team.
Management Requirements
- Manage and lead direct and indirect reports through assignments, technical guidance and support for the implementation of the quality system.
- Interview and hire candidates for the Quality team to ensure staffing levels and skills are sufficient to accomplish company goals and objectives.
- Supervisor Responsibilities; this position supervises the activities of the Quality Engineers and ultimately all QA employees.
Requirements
- B.S. (Engineering Science related) or related field.
- Minimum 4 years as a Quality Manger in ISO organization
- Hands-on experience establishing, auditing, leading and maintaining a quality system
- Proficient in core quality tools: SPC, FMEA, 8D, gauge R&R’s
- Data collection and statistical analysis
- Ability to manage people and projects
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work with different cultures and diverse teams
- Must understand processes used in the manufacturing environment
