Summary:
Industrial Automation Inc., with over 40 years of experience manufacturing top-quality aircraft maintenance tooling and equipment, is seeking a full-time quality inspector experienced in a manufacturing environment including machining, fabrication, paint, assembly, calibration, and proof load testing.
Compensation
Pay Range: $70,000-$95,000/year depending on experience.
Hours: Monday-Friday 5:30AM-2:00PM

Position Overview
In this role as a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will work closely with other departments to ensure parts and processes adhere to all contractual requirements, quality specifications, and regulations. Properly document all inspections and follow industry standard best practices while interpreting a wide variety of military and Boeing schematics to provide technical support and process improvements.
Essential Job Functions
Measure and verify dimensional aspects of machined parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, bore gauges and other manual inspection tools as well as a portable CMM arm. Review drawings, planning, pack slips, material certifications, in-process inspection results, etc. in combination with finished product to ensure compliance with drawing and contractual requirements. Prepare and generate all required Certificates (CofC, Calibration, etc.) in accordance with ISO and customer requirements.
- Maintain and update certification logs.
- Solid algebra/trigonometry skills.
- Exceptional blueprint reading skills, both military and commercial specs/schematics.
- Good organizational ability and able to balance competing priorities.
- Write QA documentation – rejection tags, corrective action forms., inspection records.
- Review and evaluate products in final production inspection.
- Review and evaluate in-process products.
- Issue and implement rework instructions as necessary.
- Witness and assist with proof loads and record results.
- Respect for co-workers, equipment, and tools.
- Mechanical/Machining knowledge and ability.
- Strong integrity.
Requirements
- Understanding of machine shop and assembly functions.
- Able to read drawings (aerospace/military).
- Machining, Welding, and Fabrication understanding.
- Five+ years of experience in Quality Assurance roles.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Experience with First Article and US DOD Source inspection procedures/requirements.
- High School graduation or GED.
