SemiDice is seeking a Full Time Quality Assurance Engineer Lead to work On Site in our Los Alamitos office.
Primary Job Summary:|
Support product and process compliance to customer and industry requirements. Continuously improve operational yield through deployment of Lean 5S’s and SPC for inspection, and test operations. Improve and deploy the quality management system and ensure compliance with requirements specified in AS9100 documentation.
The main objectives of the Quality Engineer are:
- Ensuring proper flow-down of requirements from customers to operations
- Lead key quality meetings to drive routine information disposition and action for successful QMS deployment
- Ensure completion of audits required to remain compliant to certified industry standards
- Drive customer satisfaction by striving to prevent quality escapes and timely follow-up on escapes
- Partner with process engineering in root cause analysis of production issues (scrap, etc.) to compel yield improvement, implementing process control and revising documentation (SOPs)
- Leverage quality software system to strengthen quality (Q-Pulse)
- Support quality process improvements to achieve appropriate industry certifications
- Ensure proper validation of incoming material/service supply from external sources
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support in maintaining certification to industry standards
- Drive root-cause analyses and implementation of corrective actions for process-related concerns
- Oversee nonconforming material control and disposition (MRB, RMAs, etc.)
- Perform audits, as required, to support Semidice quality management system
- Develop and conduct training sessions for administrative and factory personnel
- Provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing personnel and other departments, as needed
- Participate in a variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies
- Interface/communicate with the customer for audits, noncompliance issues, or other business-related activities
Other Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform other duties assigned (ESD, PCN, etc.)
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years in Quality Engineering
- Experience working in electronics manufacturing facility strongly preferred
- Experience working in AS9100, ISO9001 or ISO13485 environment a significant plus
- Experience within the military/aerospace industry (or other highly regulated industry) a plus
- Knowledge of MIL-Specs/Standards a plus
- Lean Six Sigma experience: green belt preferred
- ESD experience is a plus
