Job Purpose: The Quality Assurance Coordinator will support the Quality Assurance team with developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability for the organization’s products and/or development processes under the direction of the Quality Assurance supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting in monitoring current programs in quality assurance as it pertains to distribution and processing as well as uphold the tenants of GMP.
- Assisting with QMS programs, review integrated pest management system, and documentation compliance in Tracegains system.
- Assist in root cause / corrective action activities.
- Be a part of the internal audit team and participates actively in the scheduled food safety and facility GMP audits.
- Be a part of the food safety team, assists with maintaining the food safety plan and updates SOPs as required.
- Interact with other supervisors/managers within RJW to share best practices.
- Performs activities to support the quality system, quality policy, quality procedures, work procedures.
- Assisting with maintaining compliance of all Food Safety and Quality Programs including GMP, Organic and CGMP.
- Assisting maintaining compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
- Will be backup for Quality Assurance Supervisor for food safety management systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of CFR for food, OTC, Medical Devices, Cosmetics and Dietary Supplements for warehouse and transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and auditors.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Alchemy, Tracegains, and other software.
- Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma
- 1+ year of working in quality assurance
- 2+ years of working in a GMP facility (preferred)
- Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
