We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Compliance Coordinator for our seafood production operations in New Bedford, Massachusetts. This role is responsible for the administration tasks associated with multiple quality assurance related activities and internal audits in adherence with regulatory and customer's standards. Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel. Experience in food manufacturing and/or the seafood industry is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Addressing non-conformities from previous internal and external audits
- Interaction with regulatory agencies and/or third party auditors
- Set-up nutritional analysis, reports and database
- Maintain and manage document compliance software and vendor approval processes
- Vendor set-up/approval with multiple reviews and maintaining individual files for each vendor.
- Update/create product specifications for branded products and customer brands
- Domestic and foreign customer document request (audit certificates, specs, lab reports, HACCP plans)
- Partnering with Marketing team for product labeling review including nutritional and allergen label set up
- Registration renewals associated with grant applications
- Develop and maintain finished product specifications
- Determine sources of quality variances and specific steps to be taken in correcting the process and product.
- Prepare and submit reports as required
- Seek continuous improvement on food safety and quality programs.
- Maintaining customer-specific requirements
- Internal data entry for QC reports
- Must be detail-oriented, have strong computer skills, be resourceful and collaborative
- This position is an on-site role, based in New Bedford, Massachusetts
