Quality Assurance Analyst
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for testing all-Enterprise Applications functionality as well as integrations and reports to help ensure our systems are of the highest quality possible before they are released. The Quality Assurance Analyst will develop and execute tests on new and existing software and much more to ensure that they meet requisite functional and technical compliance. The ideal candidate will be driven to succeed, organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be a team player.
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assesses and understands project scope, design, and interfaces.
- Creates and implements a thorough test plan needed by the project.
- Analyzes business specifications and defines scenarios needed for testing.
- Writes and executes meaningful and relevant test cases.
- Identifies defects, gaps, and issues between business specifications and the product being developed.
- Collaborates with the project team and functional SMEs in addressing quality issues, defects or risks.
- Leads manual and test automation initiatives and can identify critical areas of the target application.
- Documents test scenarios, write test scripts, execute test scripts, and enhance our automated testing opportunities in Kainos (automated testing tool).
- Organizes and synthesizes information received from business or technical teams.
- Participates in meetings and discussions and can professionally present information.
- Mentors’ end-users and assists them if needed.
- Complies and upholds organizational standards.
- Assists with testing multiple software applications as needed. This may involve working one-on-one or with an entire team to test mid-large size projects.
- Motivated and focused on delivering quality results in a team environment (continuous evaluation and improvement).
- Supports other initiatives of the quality assurance department in measuring and maintaining quality standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience testing CRM/ATS and/or HCM/ERP applications.
- Knowledge of Software Testing Principles such as STLC, test strategy, test case creation, and testing types.
- Familiar with Software Development Procedures such as the SDLC, code merge and deployment process, and Agile practices.
- Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be diplomatic and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Understanding of technical terminology regarding servers, databases, APIs.
- Proficient with MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a complete focus on quality results.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a growth mindset and a passion for excellence.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, environment
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Bullhorn and Workday experience.
- Experience working in the staffing industry.
- Experience in software development, business systems analysis or quality assurance analysis.
- Experience in developing test scripts.
