HEICO is currently recruiting a Buyer for its Seal Dynamics Business Unit, located in Tampa, FL. Employees have the option of opting into a 9/80 work week schedule
SUMMARY:
The Quality Administrator is primarily responsible for the support and maintenance of procedures and elements of the company Quality Management System, and is responsible for coordinating, planning, and executing projects as defined by the Quality Manager and Vice President of Quality.
PRIMARY KEY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for the maintenance and support of the Document Control processes of the Quality Management System.
SUPPORT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support the creation, initiation, and maintenance of Quality Management System documents (Procedures, Work Instructions, etc…) with the Quality Manager as required.
* Supports the development and implementation of Quality Plans for both the inspection group and for external suppliers.
* Supports the Quality Engineer and Supplier Management Processes. Manage qualification, recertification, and performance and conduct any required supplier audits.
* Interfaces with Engineering, Operations and Suppliers as required to resolve discrepancies, and to ensure that products flow through efficiently.
* Support the Quality Manager and Vice President of Quality in development of training to build Quality awareness, or in support of corrective or preventive actions.
* Support the MRB process which includes root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions and responses to customer complaints.
* Support the Purchasing process by reviewing and approving purchase orders.
* Facilitates changes to SOP’s, policies, training materials and other documents as appropriate.
* Support the analysis of data to identify areas for improvement in the Quality Management System.
* Support preparation of reports to communicate outcomes of business activities.
* Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager and Vice President of Quality

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 5 years in related Quality field
* Blueprint Reading
* Knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 Quality Systems
* Proficiency with computer-based applications, Microsoft Office, and Access as a minimum
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:
* Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
* American Society for Quality certifications as applicable
* Continuous Improvement Techniques
* Inspection Points (e.g. receiving, in-process, final, source, first article)
* Sampling (AQL levels, sampling tables)
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Need the ability to communicate effectively with both employees and managers.
REASONING ABILITY:
Need the ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
