Job Description:
Conduct sampling and/or testing of incoming materials, finished product, micro, and/or participate in the additional support activities to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies’ requirements and company standards.
Key responsibilities
• Develops knowledge of functional area policies and procedures, and performs routine analytical testing and/or sampling functions in at least one QC laboratory.
• Develops an understanding of applicable, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements, laboratory processes and procedures, utilization of good documentation practices (GDPs) and other regulatory authority requirements.
• Maintains all training requirements for assigned tasks.
• Develops operational proficiency using analytical techniques and instrumentation to support sampling and/or testing for applicable products and incoming materials.
• Works independently and/or in a team environment to meet or exceed established objectives, applicable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Quality Performance
Indicators (QPIs).
• Understands established internal and external customer expectations and maintains effective communication pathways.
• Contributes to projects as assigned and participates in continuous improvement efforts.
EHS Responsibilities – All Associates
• Know, understand and comply with all Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
Guidelines
• Report unsafe conditions
• Report all injuries, illnesses and hazardous materials releases
• Wear personal protective equipment
• Attend EHS training programs
• Follow all safe work procedures
Quality Responsibilities – All Associates:
• Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, QA, and QC, etc.)
• Adhere to QMS policy and regulatory requirements.
Education:
- High School diploma required
- Associate’s degree or higher in a Science-related field or study preferred
Experience:
- Some prior lab experience is preferred
- Prior cGMP and basic science background (microbiology, biology, and/or chemistry)
- Experience in an education setting is suitable - great opportunity for recent grads - does not need to be OTJ experience to qualify
