POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for assuring quality products. Quality Assurance is charged with auditing products and components as manufacturing takes place, assuring products will meet customer specifications and achieve superior and reliable levels. The shift is Monday through Thursday 2pm to 12:30am.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Mainly manufacturing environment which may include standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors, lifting up to 50 lbs., confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surfaces. Overtime will be required based on manufacturing hours.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Quality Assurance is responsible to ensure all in process materials are meeting the customers specifications.
- Audit production lines to verify GMP standards by following AQL’s.
- Review/audit production batch records while the products are in process to assure all information is accurate and complete.
- Assure current SOPs are being followed.
- Audit cleanind logs for proper cleaning and sanitation.
- Ability to document and communicate findings from audits and observations.
- Any other duties and/or assigned responsibilities.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
- A High School diploma, or equivalent with 1-2 years experience in quality within a manufacturing, nutritional or pharmaceutical environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Strong background and understanding and/or writing of GMP and SOPs.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Experience within manufacturing process a plus.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- MS computer skills required.
- Oracle experience required.
- Make sure quality comes first in each product, but also meeting deadlines for each product.
