QA Supervisor

Our client, the largest contract manufacturer of powdered automatic dishwasher detergent in North America, is seeking a QA Supervisor. This is a Full-time position located in the Midway neighborhood, working Monday-Thursday from 5am-3:30pm.

Pay Rate: $30.00/HR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate, administer, and maintain QA Standard Operating Procedures as required.
• Supervise and train at least 2 QA personnel in Quality Assurance procedures.
• Oversee the implementation of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and help ensure that operations comply with relevant product, Company, certification and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct or assist the QA Manager in training of packaging line technicians, and tower personnel on QA concepts associated with their role.
• Download clients’ specifications, update /maintain the plant’s records, and publish to affected departments.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent and five years of related experience.
• QA Experience in a chemical manufacturing or consumer product manufacturing industry.
• Excellent leadership skills. Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of SPC and how to implement it. Excellent time management skills.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Word, etc.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

• General lab and manufacturing environment that includes standing, walking, and use of hands consistently.  Occasional sitting, talking, and hearing. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Exposure to lab environment.
