This is NOT a computer-driven QA role, you are responsible for materials and equipment.
Job Overview:
Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, inspection, and control of purchased materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with the Quality Plan and contract specifications. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect purchased materials and equipment upon delivery for any faults, damages, or discrepancies.
- Communicate any issues with faulty or damaged materials to the Fabrication Manager for further processing.
- Ensure all work is executed and examined according to the Quality Plan and contract specifications.
- Perform dimensional and orientational verifications based on spool drawings.
- Conduct weld quality examinations on spool welds to ensure compliance with standards.
- Verify the accuracy of spool information and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Tag each spool with its designated identification and ensure protective caps/plugs are installed in all openings.
- Oversee the proper storage of fabricated spools in an approved staging area.
- Notify the Fabrication Manager when spools are complete and ready for shipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in quality control, fabrication, or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret spool drawings and documentation.
- Familiarity with weld inspection and quality assurance procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
