Essential Functions
- Work with CSI team to develop, implement and continually improve QA/QC procedures, processes, and tools to ensure all required activities adhere to contractual, technical, installation requirements and industry standards.
- Periodically audit project quality programs seeking continual improvement in accordance with CSI QMS process evaluation requirements.
- Responsible for timely collection and compilation of all pertinent project documents in “turnover books” per contractual requirements for submittal to clients.
- Coaches, mentors, and trains Site QA/QC Managers to ensure the following tasks are being satisfactorily implemented on all job sites:
- Preparation and implementation of a site-specific quality control program, including but not limited to procedures, inspection instructions, remediation, reporting, and all other aspects of our QA/QC program.
- Monitor subcontractor work to ensure compliance with company standards, technical requirements, procedures, and building codes, when applicable
- Prepare for all quality inspections, testing, and commissioning work by reviewing construction and monitoring construction drawings, specifications, product submittals, product installation manuals, RFI log, QC photos, current quality inspection, and test reports, etc.
- Work collaboratively and proactively with construction team to ensure installation procedures are followed and the work is done correctly the first time.
- Work collaboratively with construction team to ensure non-compliance and defects are detected early and do not become serial defects.
- When defects or non-compliances are detected, works with construction crew to remedy and implement corrective measures to prevent repetition of such events.
- Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the Construction Manager, and site superintendents, and provide written minutes as described in project specific contract documents.
- Work with Construction Manager and Site Superintendent to manage site quality program and assist in providing solutions to non-compliant items.
- Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with technical and purchase order requirements, are handled and stored appropriately, and are installed according to “construction work instructions” and manufacturer installation manuals.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the superintendent at least two days prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality and inspection criteria.
- Maintain the project "as-built" drawings daily.
- Assemble and forward project closeout documents that include O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranties.
- Stop work if necessary to resolve matters that affect safety, quality and/or inhibit the logical progress of work.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Manager for utility scale solar and BESS projects.
- Firm understanding of quality standards and codes associated with construction of utility scale solar and BESS projects
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Experience and understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), preferred.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment required.
- Proactive attitude and initiative.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands
- Frequently works outdoors on uneven surfaces.
- May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- May be required to stoop, bend, and crouch.
Work Environment
- Works in the Santa Fe Springs office 40% of the time.
- Works in the field, on various projects 60% of the time.
- May work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.
- May occasionally work in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels and hazardous chemicals.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary $114,000-$135,200/ year
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. CSI reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate's qualifications.
