Position Responsibility Summary:
QC Inspector will perform daily inspections of ongoing activities on site and interface with the craft supervision for proper notification of ongoing and upcoming Inspections. Help Supervision figure out and resolve any technical issues that may arise, and supervise oversight of Sub-Contractors' quality activities. Implement the quality control procedures and the inspection test plans on all construction activities. Perform all quality activities and help support the quality control team. Ensure the work accurately and effectively to produce a quality product that meets the customer’s expectations. Maintain quality records, daily QC inspection reports, and help gather information for RFIs, NCRs, etc.
Education and Experience Requirements
• Must have High school graduate or hold a state or military-approved high school equivalency diploma (e.g., GED).
•Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an occupational function that has a direct relationship to welded assemblies fabricated to national or international standards and be directly involved in one or more of the areas
•Bachelor or Higher Degree in Welding. Four years maximum if the degree is in welding engineering or welding technology.
•Associate or Higher Degree. Three years maximum if the degree is in welding or non-welding-related engineering technology, engineering, or physical sciences.
•Engineering/Technical School Courses. Two years maximum, and only for successfully completed courses* in a curriculum that can be (or could be) applied to (1) above.
•Trade/Vocational Courses. One year maximum, and only for successfully completed courses* in a curriculum related to welding that can be (or could be) applied to (1) above.
• Must have current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Certification
• Must Have 5 Years Experience in RCSC Specification chapters on Fastener Components, Bolted Parts, Use of Washers, Pre-Installation Verification, Installation, and Inspection.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Blue Beam Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
•Must have basic knowledge of the construction processes involved in heavy industrial construction.
•Must be able to use problem solving skills and critical thinking to resolve and identify issues, including safety risks.
•Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and specifications.
•Must be proficient computer skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Blue Beam
•Organizational capabilities to plan and schedule inspections and tests.
•Provide information regarding processes and specifications to craftsmen, supervisors and other appropriate team members.
•Generate Quality reports to NSC Quality Manuel Requirements
•Attend and participate in meetings regarding the assigned project.
•Will interact and coordinate efforts with contracted or internal NDE teams.
•Good reading comprehension
•Ability to work with others and be a team player.
•Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors

Current or must past eye examination to prove natural or corrective near visions acuity, in at least one eye of Jaeger J-2 at a minimum distance of 12 in.
• Employees will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools.
• May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 40lbs.
• Must be able to work from heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves and leather safety toed work boots.
