Job Summary:
We are searching for a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager that will lead the activities of the quality assurance Team focused on developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s products. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of quality management systems.
Personnel under supervision: NDT Technicians, Quality Inspectors, Lab Technicians, Document Control Administrator, and Gage Control Administrator.
Training Requirements:
1. TTP Orientation.
2. Company Basic practices; Safety, QA & HR Policy.
3. Standard Operating Procedure Manual Latest Edition.
4. API Q1, 5CT & 5L requirements and ASTM, ASNT and Industry standards.
Education Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields preferred or 10 years’+ in field experience
Experience Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years’ experience in handling all the aspects of QMS as per API Q1 requirements.
2. Thorough understanding of API 5CT and 5L.
3. Thorough understanding and ability to perform Testing and Inspection on OCTG and Line Pipe as per their respective product specifications.
4. Experience of supervising and directing teams with a minimum of 10 people.
Responsibilities:
1. Hires and trains quality assurance staff.
2. Oversee the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
3. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
4. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
5. Establish and maintain a quality management system that clearly and adequately defines the quality requirements, objectives and goals for our product lines.
6. Coordinate with Plant Manager and ensure QMS compliance.
7. Report to Plant Manager on performance of product, process and QMS.
8. Audits to ensure compliance with mill and industry standards. Ensure customer requirements are met through meeting the quality requirements of industry standards and customer requirements.
9. Testing of existing and new product lines to determine product serviceability and compliance with specifications and mill standards.
10. Technical Services: Resolution of customer claims and customer contracts on a technical basis to give support to the commercial side of the business.
11. Responsible for Non-destructive testing performed in the facility.
12. Responsible for the application and control of API monogram in the facility.
13. Coordinate with corporate document control and monitor the release of final product to customer.
14. Statistical data analysis – Process control through review of data.
15. Reconciliation of rejects – Ensure rejects are disposed accordingly.
16. Assist in supplier evaluations and supplier claims
17. Maintain control of measurement gages & monitoring devices.
18. Manages the corrective and preventive action process and measures effectiveness.
19. Perform the duties of any QA personnel if needed.
20. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
21. Position requires to be exposed to High temperatures depending on the season. The position also requires to be exposed to noise levels ranging from moderate to high.

Occasional Duties:
1. Train personnel on QA/QC functions.
2. Inspect any purchased items that may affect product quality.
3. Monitor the general overall appearance of the product.
4. Inspect and review outsourced processors.
5. As directed by the Plant Manager.
