- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in a quality assurance role, with a strong emphasis on building standards and codes.
- In-depth knowledge of IEEE, New York City Building Code, New York State Building Code, and international building standards.
- Proven experience reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and construction documents.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor) or similar credentials is a plus.
- Lead and manage the quality assurance program across all projects, ensuring that all work adheres to the relevant building standards and codes (IEEE, New York City Building Code, New York State Building Code, International Building Codes, etc.).
- Review and assess technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents for compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of construction quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure all quality assurance requirements are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and evaluations to monitor adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and deliver detailed reports on the status of quality assurance initiatives, findings, and corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quality assurance staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, changes to building codes, and emerging quality assurance best practices.
- Effectively communicate quality assurance requirements and findings to senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.
