QA ETL Tester at VTAL TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS LLC

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans for ETL processes, covering data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Perform thorough data validation and reconciliation, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various sources and targets.
• Write complex SQL queries to analyze and validate data within databases and data warehouses.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Python to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and data architects to understand requirements, identify potential data quality issues, and provide feedback on data processes.
• Clearly document test results, defects, and provide detailed analysis for effective issue resolution.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in data testing and quality assurance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a QA ETL Tester role, with a strong focus on data warehousing and ETL testing.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL methodologies, and data quality best practices.
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the financial services industry, preferably within the insurance sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
