Job Description:
Scope: Xfinity Connect is looking to expand reach of talking guide to deaf and blind to ensure they are fully in touch with new features
• Writes and executes tests to validate products and software applications.
• Contributes to the development of Accessibility Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies. Identifies viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality.
• Collaborates with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements.
• Reviews and verifies requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification.
• Ensures proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts.
• Participates in design, code and functional product reviews.
• Works with other Quality Assurance Engineers or Software Engineers to identify, reproduce and document bugs or defects.
• Assists in providing accessibility subject matter guidance and mentorship for other Quality Assurance Engineers.
• Provides leadership and consultation with regards to accessibility best practices, procedures and techniques.
• Supports trials of new infrastructure designs/services.
Additional Information:
• Drive QA and Compliance on Web Mobile and Xfinity Packages. Web mobile provides accessibility to sites for those that are either blind or deaf.
• Need to be within ADA regulations
• Sprints in Agile Methodology. They had outsourced this process but it took 6 weeks vs in house sprints that took 1 ½ to 2.
• No android/iOS experience, not a Developer. Needs to understand the difference in how service is delivered to disabled
• Test the Accessibility of Xfinity System- (Talking guide) Make sure users using voice instructions are able to navigate on the screen and ensure they are fully engaged with new features.
• Establish test cases to validate existing features (Sometimes the new features break the old features.)
• Candidate will do manual testing
Must Have:
• HTML
• Direct Screen Reader experience
• Work directly related to accessibility function
• Java (preferred)
