Quality Analyst
Location: MD or can be remote
The QA performs requirements gathering, to develop test cases, scenarios and scripts and coordinates and manages and reports metrics on testing events. Member of a team that is responsible to support, maintain and enhance the systems supported as well as to implement new systems. The team formalizes the requirements gathering process as well as test-driven development process, automates testing and identifies the tools that would make this process more efficient
- Works primarily with HP Quality Center, Panaya Testing Tools, Microsoft Office Suite, JIRA, and Confluence tools
- Performs system requirements gathering and documentation
- Collaborates with other Analysts and team members
- Works closely with project managers and project team to provide testing timelines and status
- Creates test strategy based on the analysis of design document and requirements
- Designs test plans for projects and work with project teams and business partners to obtain approval
- Facilitates integrated testing of business solutions. Creates test plans, coordinate testing, data validation sessions and conduct unit and functional testing. Ensures that requirements, design and testing documentation meet department standards
- Generates test scripts and perform test analysis. Test scripts will be manual or automated.
- Facilitates data governance to ensure responsibilities for content owners are clearly defined and communicated. Work with vendors to resolve problems, as needed
- Reports test results and metrics to management and team in timely matter
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Additional experience may be substituted for education
- At least 5 or more years of business requirement gathering experience and/or hands-on experience with system / integration / user acceptance testing (automated and manual) knowledge of and experience working in the Agile development and requirement gathering team(s)
- Knowledge of and experience using HP Quality Center or Cypress
- Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of and experience using Cross Browser Testing tools
