About the Job
The Purchasing Supervisor will be sourcing/procuring of indirect/direct goods/services in compliance with Source-to-Pay (S2P)/best manufacturing practices. Manage supporting staff for procurement processes and warehouse operations. Develop, implement, administer and communicate purchasing policies and procedures to end users and senior staff.
Salary Range: $67,000 - $ 101,000
Sourcing:
- Negotiates and support contract process in the plant including leases and other agreements.
- Reviews best costs and source approved indirect/direct goods determined by demand/need.
- Work with category managers on issues and strategies to achieve sourcing goals.
- Manage qualifying suppliers / set up with corporate category managers.
- Reviews out of tolerance invoices and reconcile billing discrepancies.
Procurement:
- Ensure all procurement activities shall be conducted in accordance with current policy and any related corporate-approved procedure manuals, processes, and template documents.
- Perform required operating system(s) data entry functions (purchase order entry, requisition Processing, report creation & analysis, inventory reporting & review, general business functions).
- Communicate with Customers and Suppliers to effectively facilitate the logistics between the origin and destination.
- Maintain critical consumable item inventories, both plant operations and production packaging.
- Support plant requests to source goods and services (in-directs) following the current sourcing platform.
- Inventory management: Staffing, Allocation management, Shipping discrepancies, 3PL issues
- Sourcing: SIT process, Customer performance, unsatisfactory goods/service management.
- Plant sourcing projects and events
- Support Logistics projects and initiatives
- Other site support activities as directed
- Provide leadership, vision, and management for a team of professional planners/sourcing.
- Drive company sourcing goal / process to sourcing team, Work with various cross functional teams on scheduling issues, etc.
- Identify and implement improvements to procure planning best practices and optimal system use to meet or exceed key performance indications.
- Work with cross functional teams and outside vendors to identify new opportunities.
- Enterprise 1andAriba Super-User operatingandtrain others.
Required Education, Experience, and/or Knowledge:
- High School Degree required, Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field highly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in materials management. Possess a strong background in manufacturing specializing in inventory management, procurement, production planning and scheduling.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience supervising employees.
- Strong Computer Skills, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. Enterprise 1andAriba Super-User operatingsystems highly desired.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and effectively navigate shifting demands.
- Proficient with word processing and common software applications, as well as ability to become proficient with customized/company computer programs.
- Ability to work through difficult issues, addressing stakeholder needs and ensuring compliance with contract requirements to avoid grievance situations.
- Develop creative and successful approaches to problem solving.

Preferred Education, Experience, and/or Knowledge:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Degree, Accounting or related.
- Knowledge of laws/regulations related to administering contract/policies and time/attendance.
- Experience in the sourcing field and working with purchasing platforms.
Hours: Day shift, this role may require off shift hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
