Purchasing Specialist:
Pharmsource LLC. is looking for a Purchasing Specialist to join their team in Sunrise, Florida.
About the Job:
This is an entry level position responsible for ensuring that a business can acquire needed supplies, materials, and other relevant items. This includes identifying purchasing needs as well as identifying vendors for goods and services. Maintaining positive business relationships with vendors is necessary for achieving the right price for the right product. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and effective purchasing operations, maintain accurate inventory records, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Job Duties:
- Create and maintain SKUs, ensuring accurate and complete product information.
- Edit existing SKUs as needed, including updates to pricing, descriptions, and other relevant details.
- Conduct short-date reviews for items expiring the following month and take appropriate actions.
- Process SD purchase orders for all manufacturers currently managed by the company.
- Handle SSA (Shelf Stock Adjustments) claims for items with significantly deviating costs.
- Provide support to all members of the purchasing team during peak workloads or when assistance is required.
- Sign and file OTB agreements.
- Manage purchasing e-mail inbox; source requests, tracking information, reorder requests.
- Develops and manages relationship with suppliers to hold them accountable for meeting shipping and delivery commitments to include system and process improvements at both company and the supplier.
- Maintain comprehensive tracking of purchase orders and items that are 60+ days old, taking appropriate actions to resolve any delays or issues.
- Supports group and/or organization key initiatives and objectives through contributions on project teams to include support of supplier management activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
- Assists with related special projects as required.
- Participate in Team meetings.
Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management and SKU creation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet desired deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with manufacturers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Adept at working in high paced environments.
- Strong ability to navigate workplace dynamics and relationships.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of computer systems and software, i.e.: Microsoft Excel, Outlook email, and Microsoft Teams.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and interdependently within the team.

- Salary commensurate with experience ($18 per hour)
