Job Title: Purchasing Processor, Shipping and Receiving Technician
Location: 4038 Avenida De La Plata, Oceanside, CA
Duration: 9 months contract with possibility of extension
Responsible for performing duties in the materials management function (shipping, receiving and delivery of non-GMP materials). Loads, unloads and/or conveys materials throughout the organization, performs a combination of tasks that include shipping and/or receiving. Materials may be of a hazardous/controlled nature requiring regulatory endorsements prior to handling. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials received; prepare records of materials shipped and boxes, and prepare parts and tooling for special shipments. In addition, performing procurement buyer transaction activities.

Responsibilities for the daily execution of the Supervisor assigned duties.
Assists the Supervisor in ensuring responsibilities and functions are performed in a safe and compliant manner.
Promote continuous process improvement methodologies and culture.
Follows established safety and environmental guidelines and procedures for all work performed. Immediately reports safety and environmental incidents including injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety suggestions. Fosters a positive safety culture in which no one gets hurt.
MRO Procurement - Tactical processing
Sending out RFQs ( Request for Quote) to MRO vendors
Updating Buyer with Purchase order information
Assist in Purchase Order follow ups with suppliers
Supplementary Responsibilities
Warehouse:
Receive, inspect and document non-Gmp standard stock items in accordance with department and SOPs.
Track post incoming general merchandise by entering information into an automated database.
Deliver packages and maintain accurate and complete documentation in delivery logbooks.
Collect non-Gmp materials for shipping and provide assistance with packaging, labeling and shipping documentation.

Process capital asset materials by assigning and placing identification tags and update accounting/ finance records.
Fill and verify controlled material requests to support manufacturing operations.
May assist with moving and storing GMP materials.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
Minimum 5 year experience in warehouse or GMP regulated environment
Purchasing experience preferred
Forklift certified highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Demonstrate leadership and communication skills.
Proficiency with PC desktop applications and business operations software system.
Valid California driver's license and good driving record Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Fundamental knowledge of inventory management principles.
Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations
May climb upwards of 6 flights of stairs a day to maneuver within the manufacturing facility.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs may be required.
Environment may require the use of gloves and steel toe boots to be worn.
Exposure to level 1 chemicals.
May operate a forklift, electric pallet truck and other material handling equipment.
Day in the life:
First half of the day would be receiving from trucks and processing into the system and delivering those. Second half of the day would be mostly administrative doing things like quotes and vendor follow up, documentation etc.
