Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Purchasing Manager supports all GT-DB procurement activities and manages tasks to achieve global supply chain goals. This highly visible position performs a wide variety of procurement related functions in a fast- past environment that requires the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining optimal cost and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages the purchasing function, including assignment of purchasing tasks, supervision and disciplinary actions
- Oversees the procurement of products and services per requirements
- Ensures quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met for direct and indirect materials
- Leads supplier qualification processes and risk level management
- Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in support of ISO9001
- Prepares RFQ's, technical requirement specifications, design packages and drawings
- Manages the Vendor Master and ensures AVL compliance
- Tracks purchasing related metrics (KPI's), including supplier on time delivery, purchase price variance, supplier corrective actions and cooperative management
- Generates Purchase Orders and expedites as required
- Participates in internal/external audits
- Maintains supplier scorecards, (on time delivery/late orders, returns, quality non- conformances. participates in supplier QBR's
- Interfaces with Finance to reconcile accounts payables
- Performs other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications
- 5 years of procurement experience in a high-tech environment
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with risk assessments, scorecards, and quarterly business reviews
- Experience with Lean Tools, such as 6's, PFEP, DFT Pull Management and Heijunka

Standard office environment. Significant computer work should be expected.
