Accentuate Staffing is immediately seeking a Purchasing Manager in Raleigh. This role offers the opportunity to lead the purchasing efforts for a reputable home builder, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services. The Purchasing Manager plays a critical role in project success by managing budgets, controlling costs, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. This is a direct hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Solicit bids from subcontractors and suppliers for various construction projects.
- Analyze bids, negotiate terms, and select the best options for the company.
- Review, negotiate and finalize contracts with subcontractors and vendors.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize purchasing procedures and reduce expenses.
- Recruit, evaluate, and maintain relationships with quality and reliable suppliers.
- Oversee inventory levels of materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock for projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
- Proven procurement experience in the home building or construction industry.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations
- Experience in vendor management and supplier selection.
- Ability to work within budgets and control costs effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction/purchasing software- MarkSystems a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
