We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team in the residential construction industry. This role is pivotal to our business, as you will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all purchasing activities. You will be the backbone of our operations, leading the charge in supplier management, budgeting, cost analysis, project management, and materials management. Experience with building teams as well as leading and training are a huge plus!

Responsibilities:
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies and manage all activities related to materials and final product procurement.
2. Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
3. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking, ensuring transparency in the financial aspects of procurement.
4. Manage vendor relationships and assist in building effective partnerships.
5. Conduct forecasting to anticipate demand or initiate purchase processes, considering the complexity and size of the construction projects.
6. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
7. Implement operations management strategies and best practices to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
8. Lead and manage the purchasing team, fostering a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement.
9. Develop and implement business strategies to improve the efficiency of the purchasing process.
10. Solve complex problems related to purchasing and supply chain processes.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the role of Purchasing Manager will have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing management role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proven skills in negotiation, supplier management, and budgeting.
4. Strong knowledge of cost analysis, project management, and materials management.
5. Demonstrated experience in vendor management, forecasting, and financial analysis.
6. Solid understanding of operations management, leadership, business strategy, and team management.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
9. Experience in construction management and purchasing.
10. Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
