Job Description
As the Purchasing Manager, you will lead the purchasing team and oversee all procurement activities, ensuring they are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. Your efforts will directly impact operational success and the bottom line. This position also involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure a seamless supply chain continuity plan.

Salary up to $125k
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Lead the Purchasing Team by setting clear objectives, tracking progress, providing mentorship, and effectively overcoming challenges to maintain high performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the key liaison between the purchasing team, internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders. Manage external pressures and unexpected issues, allowing the team to remain focused on their core responsibilities.
- Team Well-being & Productivity: Identify potential stressors within the team, offering the support and resources needed to sustain morale and optimize productivity.
- Role Model & Culture Champion: Lead by example, fostering a positive and productive work environment, while upholding the company’s values in all interactions.
- Supply Chain Continuity: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Supply Chain Continuity Plan that supports the company’s growth and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) strategies.
- Vendor Relations & Performance: Assist department leaders with sourcing and pricing through established vendor relationships. Monitor vendor compliance and performance, taking corrective actions as needed to ensure optimal results.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, with a focus on managing supplier relationships and cost control.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with supply chain management principles and best practices.
