About the Job
Accentuate Staffing is seeking a Procurement Manager for one of our clients in Durham, NC. The Procurement Manager is responsible for procuring materials required for production and ensuring timely delivery to manufacturing sites via stock transfer orders. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturing teams, accounting, customs officials, and external vendors to support production schedules and maintain accurate inventory records. Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase non-active manufacturing components, including co-formulants, inert ingredients, packaging, and general raw materials, through vendor purchase orders.
- Negotiate pricing to optimize cost savings while ensuring value to the business.
- Evaluate, validate, and establish strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of critical materials.
- Process work orders and update ERP systems to maintain accurate finished goods inventory.
- Coordinate and process stock transfer orders to facilitate material movement across manufacturing sites and warehouses.
- Review and verify order receipts with warehouses and manufacturing sites for accurate inventory tracking.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Team to align overseas material shipments with the production schedule.
- Reconcile inventory with the general ledger and manage month-end inventory close.
- Process invoices related to material procurement.
- Support the Inventory and Logistics Managers in staging materials for production and sales forecasts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Director of Innovation, Production, and Quality Control.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; preference for a degree in business or accounting.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management or purchasing.
- Must have prior purchasing experience with a mid-sized organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access) required.
- Experience with JD Edwards/Oracle ERP systems is a plus.
- Ability to understand and comprehend the Operations and Accounting side of inventory
- Strong team player

- Ability to handle multiple deliverables and prioritize tasks

Salary
58,000 - 65,000 /year
