Job Title: Purchasing Agent – Residential Construction
Location: Seattle, WA

We are currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent with a background in single-family home construction to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring cost-effective procurement and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the purchasing process for construction materials, equipment, and services for single-family home projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality materials.
• Solicit and evaluate bids, negotiate pricing, and award contracts to qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
• Analyze and forecast project material needs to avoid delays and optimize costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other team members to ensure procurement aligns with project schedules and budgets.
• Monitor market trends, pricing changes, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, contractual obligations, and quality expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Purchasing Agent in the residential construction industry, preferably with a focus on single-family homes.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, pricing, and supplier networks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in purchasing and construction management software.
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
