About the Job
The Purchasing Coordinator - Is responsible for all procurement and logistics for one of their Manufacturing teams of consumer fashion products. This is a 4+ month temp full time assignment*
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Order Management
• Issue POs for production floor, warehouse, and quality department supply needs
• Issue POs for all supporting parts such as Protos and Tooling
• Handle all purchase order req’s for merchandising including visuals and POP’s.
• Ensure POs are received systematically in a timely manner.
• Audit receipts and update POs when needed for any cancel balances.
• Follow up to make sure that accounting has received all documents needed for payment.
• Communicate with accounting on invoice discrepancies.
Logistics
• Work with logistics to communicate the most cost effective and timely mode of transportation is utilized for all inbound and outbound shipments.
• Handle all miscellaneous shipment needs within the department.
• Work with receiving to ensure all packages are delivered to the proper area.
• Communicate priorities to shipping when needed.
• Forward all tracking numbers to receiving parties
Department Support
• Manage and track all samples in and out of archive warehouse.
• Runner for the department within the area
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement and sourcing
• Proficiency in the use of PC’s and typical software applications with an emphasis on Excel but to include Word, Outlook, SharePoint, database packages, project management and other applications.
• Excellent communication, organizational and customer relations skills.
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work independently without supervision to get tasks done.
• Managing other employees is not a requirement.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability.

Salary
25 - 26 /hour
