Rose is on the lookout for a Energetic Purchasing Assistant to join our team! This position offers a blend of office duties and warehouse responsibilities, providing a dynamic and diverse work experience.
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be at the heart of our operations, receiving, storing, and shipping materials and equipment to our 13 service locations. We need someone who is a team player, trustworthy, and dedicated to maintaining accurate records. Collaboration with the Purchasing Manager and other office members is a must. - Reserves facilities for company meetings and accommodations.
- Obtains motor vehicle records.
- Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence with staff.
- Prepares and/or distributes memos outlining and explaining administrative procedures.
- Prepares and distributes training materials as needed.
- Performs tasks as requested by his/her immediate supervisor.
- Maintains complete, organized, and accurate records of corporate correspondences, accidents/injuries, motor vehicles, driving records, uniform orders, and other areas as assigned.
- Orders and maintains supplies and arranges equipment maintenance.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse, supply rooms, and other areas.
- Receive and count stock items (inventory control), and record data manually or using the computer.
- Attention to the appearance of the building internally and externally.
- Unload incoming items from trucks, check packing slips against the order, and put items in proper locations.
Required Knowledge & Skills
• Basic math and writing skills
• Communication devices; including cell phone, email and internet applications
• Computer skills including; use of MS Windows Applications
• Excellent client relationship skills:
- Listening, verbal and written communication
- Understand and remember client preferences and needs
- Attention to detail, observant
- Achieve required score on Wonderlik test
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
• Is at least 18 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Is a U.S. citizen or possess documentation required to work in the United States
• Is able to work before 8am and after 5pm
• Has a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a good driving record
• Has excellent communication and client service skills
• Can read, speak, write and comprehend English
• Has the ability to work independently, organize, plan and prioritize time and projects
• Hi-Lo experience or willing to learn to drive a Hi-Lo
Candidates must have the ability to:
• Meet our physical requirements which include (but not limited to):
- Lift 50 lbs. of tools or equipment up to 50” height
