About the Job
MalaceHR is seeking a Purchasing Agent to work in facility maintenance industry.
Purchasing Agent responsibilities include ensuring that all purchased products and materials meet our specifications, and negotiating with vendors as needed.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Purchasing maintenance parts for the facility.
- Using Ariba (SAP), purchasing contracts, amazon, etc
- Getting multiple quotes, submitting funding approval, submitting shopping carts, tracking purchases, etc.
- Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
- Analyze industry and demand trends and support senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Provide visible, high-energy service. Demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent guest service skills and be a team player.
- Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energy
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role
- Must be computer literate; proficiency with Power Point.
- Must be highly organized and have great attention to detail.
- Experience with SAP and/or Ariba desirable.
